It is a category of visa usually applied for by applicants who wish to accompany or visit theirย partnerย who holds aย Work Visaย or is applying/has applied for a Work Visa. With this visa, you may be able to work and apply for visitor or student visas for your dependent children.
The conditions for partner of worker are:
- They must work for an accredited employer and be paid at least the median wage.
- If they work in a role covered by an un-cappedย sector agreement, they can be paid less than the median wage but must be paid the wage threshold for their role.
- If your partner works in a role on Green List or is paid at least twice the median wage, you will have open work rights.
- You will not be eligible for a partnership-based work visa if your partner is paid under the median wage.
To be eligible for this visa category, you must liveย togetherย in a genuine and stable relationship with your partner as defined by the immigration instructions. You must also meet the health, character and fund requirements, and your partner must support your application.
