The NZ Specific Purpose Visa lets you come to New Zealand for one clear reason or event. This might include:

• Short-term work assignments or transfers
• Sports players, coaches, or referees at an event
• Entertainers, performing artists, or film and video crews

With this visa, you can only work for the one employer sponsoring that event or assignment. Note: Guardians who come just to look after students in New Zealand can’t apply for this visa

How long your visa lasts depends on the time you need in New Zealand to finish that specific purpose or event.
