Dependent Child Student Visa
New Zealand Dependent Child Student Visa
This visa type is for students aged 19 or under whose parents hold a work or student visa while completing a PhD. With a dependent child student visa, your child can attend school in New Zealand and, in many cases, will be classed as a domestic fee-paying student so you wonโt have to cover primary or secondary school tuition fees.
Not every visa type lets you get a dependent child student visa. If your child doesnโt qualify, they can still apply for a Fee Paying Student Visa. A dependent child visa lasts as long as the parentโs visa, but if your child wants to study at university or college level, they must switch to a Fee Paying Student Visa. Some work visa holders canโt sponsor a dependent child visa please contact us to find out if youโre eligible.
