Pathway Student Visa

Dependent Child Student Visa

New Zealand Dependent Child Student Visa

This visa type is for students aged 19 or under whose parents hold a work or student visa while completing a PhD. With a dependent child student visa, your child can attend school in New Zealand and, in many cases, will be classed as a domestic fee-paying student so you wonโ€™t have to cover primary or secondary school tuition fees.

Not every visa type lets you get a dependent child student visa. If your child doesnโ€™t qualify, they can still apply for a Fee Paying Student Visa. A dependent child visa lasts as long as the parentโ€™s visa, but if your child wants to study at university or college level, they must switch to a Fee Paying Student Visa. Some work visa holders canโ€™t sponsor a dependent child visa please contact us to find out if youโ€™re eligible.
